CLEANLINESS DRIVE FOR SWACHH BHARAT-

SWACHHATA PAKHWADA (01.09.2018 – 15.09.2018)

ORGANISED AT ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL, KIREEE AS PER DIRECTIVE OF CBSE

As part of the campaign for Swachh Bharat-Swachhata Pakhwada (CBSE), various activities were conducted in ARMY PUBLIC SCHOOL, KIRKEE. The main objective was to create awareness among the students regarding importance of cleanliness in our society and the ongoing cleanliness drive “Swachh Bharat” initiated by our Respected Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi.

Our school celebrated Swachhata Pakhwada from 1^st of September 2018 to 15^th of September 2018.Towards creating this awareness, various competitions and activities were organized in the School premises, wherein all the students and the staff of the School participated enthusiastically.

This programme kick started with each student pledging to take part in the cleanliness drive, during the Oath taking ceremony. Speeches given by students during the assembly ear-marked the event.

Other events which have been conducted were :-

1. An exhibition of articles made out of waste by students aptly named ‘Best out of waste’ was held in

which students highlighted their creativity combined with the best use of waste.

2. A rally was also organized to create awareness about “Cleanliness and Hygiene”.
3. Lectures were given on ‘Clean Water’ and ‘Personal Hygiene’ by our teachers to educate the

students.

4. A Cleanliness drive was conducted in our school campus with an intention of realizing the

importance of Swachhata.

5. Tree plantation programme was conducted by our Primary Wing.
6. A skit high-lighting the importance of handwash was performed by the Primary Wing students

during the assembly.

7. A Street Play emphasizing the importance of conserving Clean Water Resources was also enacted

in the assembly.

8. The culmination of Swachhata Pakhwada was marked by conducting various competitions, like :-
9. Essay Writing competition
10. Painting Competition
11. Letter Writing Competition
12. Poem Writing Competition and
13. Clean Classroom Competition.

The zeal and the enthusiasm of the students made this event a huge success and all the innovations and activities were captured in pictures and videos. Thus, all the above activities conducted by the school, enabled it to take this mission of Cleanliness to the community, thereby creating mass awareness.
